I tested different models, my opinion!
As a yogurt lover, I’m always on the lookout for the perfect yogurt pot. A durable, easy-to-clean pot with a reusable container that doesn’t leach chemicals into my food. After testing five of the highest-rated yogurt pots on the market in 2026, here are my conclusions.
Pot 1: Stainless steel
The first pot I tested was a stainless steel model with a silicone lid. It had excellent insulation and kept my yogurt cold even after hours in my bag. It also had an airtight seal that prevented any spills or messes when I put it away. The only drawback is its weight: it is much heavier than plastic models, which makes it less practical to transport.
Pot 2: BPA-free plastic
the next one is a glass jar with a BPA-free plastic lid. It’s significantly lighter than the stainless steel pan, but heavy enough that I don’t want to carry it around all day. Its main advantage is its non-porous surface – no chance of staining or absorbing flavors from other foods! – but it is more fragile than plastic or metal pans.
Pot 3: Ceramic
My third choice was a ceramic pot with an airtight silicone seal and a BPA-free lid. This option seemed particularly nice to me because of its cheerful colors and patterns (very Instagrammable!). But what really made me fall in love with it was its durability: although it was dropped several times (oops!), it suffered no visible damage or cracks.
Jar 4: Plastic
For my fourth choice, I opted for a classic plastic option with an easy-to-open screw lid. This option has been around for years and remains popular because of its affordability and convenience – you can take it anywhere! However, as someone who prefers not to use single-use plastic, this was not my preferred choice due to its lack of sustainability features such as biodegradability or recyclability.
Pot 5: Bamboo
Finally, I tried a bamboo pot with a tight-fitting bamboo lid (no plastic here!). This one had excellent insulating properties and kept my yogurt cold all day without fail – plus it’s very stylish! The only problem I encountered is that the lid isn’t as secure as some of the other jars; If you’re going somewhere where there may be bumps or turbulence (like on public transportation), you’ll want something safer than what this potty offers.
